Guerreiro says he rejected Barça and PSG for Dortmund

The Portuguese arrived this summer to the German group of Lorient. Now, the side reveals that he had an offer from Barça and another from the PSG, but rejected them because he thought he would play less.

After curling a great season in the Lorient and being titular in the Portugal champion of Europe, Raphael Guerreiro came to the market with many important clubs interested in him. The Portuguese finally decided for the Borussia Dortmund, club where he is holder in the left side. At 22, the Portuguese wanted to play in a team where they had minutes, so he rejected several great teams.

Guerreiro himself, speaking to Canal +, has revealed the teams he refused to wear the Dortmund shirt. The Portuguese says he said “no” to Barça last summer, where he did not think he would have minutes. “But there came a time when I had to make a decision and the Borussia Dortmund offer convinced me more.I need to play regularly this season and get minutes under my belt in order to keep developing. And I have been lucky that things Have gone very well for me in Germany, “he says.

Prior to that offer, Guerreiro also says that when he was still in Lorient he received the call from PSG, which he dismissed for the same reason. “I received an offer from PSG last year, but decided to stay in the Lorient, I wanted to play as much as possible before the Euro. It was a crucial decision because it allowed me to be part of the champion team,” he concluded.
