It is a matter so burning that it even deserves to be screamed in capital letters. When we reach the quarterfinals, we intend to set ourselves forward, with our hands on our knees, and just study what has happened so far. In one of four quarterfinals, the match between Tennys Sandgren and Hyeon Chung is awaiting.
It could have been Stan Wawrinka or Dominic Thiem, but it became Tennys Sandgren. It could have been Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev or why not the opponent Daniil Medvedev? But no, it became Hyeon Chung.
Completely illogical, absolutely wonderful. Both players have made amazing trips until this quarterfinal and given that Hyeon Chung nevertheless dropped dragons like Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev, it’s no wonder that the talented South Korean is seen as a favorite here. On the other hand, the whole 5.25 times the sauce is interesting at Tennys Sandgren, who has impressed me, not least since this tournament is completely illogical so far.
It’s going to be a struggle
Hyeon Chung may inevitably be seen as favorite here. Even though he is five years younger, he already feels better now as tennis player and quite obviously he has found some form of indescribable flow this tournament. 3-0 against Novak Djokovic says most of the time.
On the other hand, there is really a lot to say that Tennys Sandgren can resist. As late as for two weeks, he played against Just Hyeon Chung and then took a shot in the 2-1 loss. Then he then knocked out heavy players like Stan Wawrinka and Dominic Thiem, after which he obviously maintained his fine form. He is hard-tempered, constantly present during the matches and even he is strong.
Our Prediction: Over 3,5 sets @ 1.90
